Software-as-a-service solution for German care services
The Project
KätheCare is a modern software-as-a-service platform for care and support services. Patient data, service recording and billing run fully digitally, securely and from any workstation in the browser. What used to live on paper and in isolated tools is now consolidated on one central platform that relieves teams of bureaucracy.
A fine-grained roles and permissions concept protects highly sensitive health data. Electronic letters and PDF, Excel and XML interfaces connect the platform seamlessly with existing workflows.
The Challenge
Mapping all core processes of a care service in a single piece of software means managing sensitive health data clearly and securely, assigning carers flexibly, recording every service precisely and generating legally compliant billing and reports from it. The biggest hurdle was that activities that previously happened offline had to merge completely with the digital platform, without interrupting day-to-day care.
The Solution
KätheCare digitalises the entire administrative process. This includes flexible master data and patient management, time tracking of all billable services, automated and shareable invoicing, and powerful analysis and reporting functions. Each care service works in its own cleanly separated environment, and roles and permissions control which content is visible to which person. Scattered paperwork becomes one continuous digital workflow.
Our Technologies
A flexible Laravel architecture processes all business transactions with high performance, the interface is a modern Vue 3 application, and the platform is fully multi-tenant. Extended interfaces and features such as electronic letters as well as PDF and Excel imports and exports enable seamless integration of external data sources and efficient evaluation and documentation. Role and permission management, modular business logic and API services ensure controllable, secure and scalable processes, complemented by current server technologies such as PHP, MySQL and Redis.
The application runs container-based with Docker and FrankenPHP, documents are stored in Microsoft Azure Blob Storage, and Gotenberg generates PDF documents server-side. Automated deployments and monitoring with Sentry support traceable operation.
